How to Get Creative with Denim

How many times do you think we have to repeat saying that denim is the universal clothing of all? Once is never enough in our opinion. After all, a simple pair of denim jeans doesn’t just represent clothing for all, it also represents so many popular ideals…cowboys in the 1930s, rebellion in the 1950s, hippie subculture the 1960s, controversial ad campaigns in the 1980s (think Brooke Shields and her Calvins) and the list continues to grow until today.

But just when you think you’ve seen it all in the denim world… think again!

I recently stumbled on a “ecouterre’s recycled denim challenge” where the most inspired recycled denim inventions are featured. These finalists/designers created items that were truly distinctive, memorable and just downright interesting. They are judged for their innovation, creativity and aesthetic quality.
