after returning to new york, i woke up to lots and lots of snow…such a drastic change from the warm georgia days.

when i returned home, a late christmas gift was sitting on my doorstep.  a few weeks ago, i’d put in an order of custom jeans, courtesy of indiDenim. i was a bit skeptical of custom jeans…one because i’ve never bought jeans online before.  and second because i was building these things myself..sort of.

you get to choose your own style, fabric, fit, color, denim wash, cuff style, buttons and pockets.  since i can NEVER find a good pair of high-waisted jeans, i thought this was the perfect chance.  so, i went with a high-waisted, wide-leg version.  and they turned out perfectly!

i love the dark wash of the denim, and the fit is really great.  with high-waisted, there is a fine line of good and bad.  i feel like so quickly things can turn mom-jeanish or waaay too 80s.  but these are a nice balance of vintage and modern.
